Just Transition Culture – Art and activism in transitioning regions

The Just Transition Culture event took place in Eastern Wielkopolska in Poland on 21-25 June 2025. It was organised by activists and artists from three European just transition regions: Eastern Wielkopolska in Poland, Western Macedonia in Greece and Jiu Valley in Romania. The activities included art workshops, exhibitions, wall murals, the painting of a mining locomotive, concerts and study visits. Without the participation of the people you can see in this short film, who dedicated their time, energy and passion, the event would not have even taken place.
